Example Story Prompt

Family Trip to the Aquarium

Liam, age 7, with short brown hair and a bright red hoodie, went to the aquarium with his little sister Sophie, age 4, who has curly blond hair and wore a purple dress with white polka dots. Mom, wearing glasses and a blue sweater, held Sophie’s hand while Dad, in a green jacket and baseball cap, carried their backpack.

The family walked through a glowing tunnel filled with jellyfish, their soft lights shimmering all around. Liam pressed his hands to the glass, pointing excitedly as Sophie giggled.

Later, they watched dolphins leap out of the water. Sophie clapped and laughed while Liam shouted, “That one jumped the highest!” Dad leaned on the railing, smiling, while Mom snapped a photo with her phone.

At the penguin exhibit, Sophie waddled like a penguin, making everyone laugh. Liam whispered that penguins looked like “fancy little waiters.” The family stayed close together, enjoying the chilly air.

To end the day, they visited the gift shop. Sophie hugged a stuffed dolphin while Liam picked a dinosaur keychain. Mom and Dad smiled as they walked out, holding hands, happy to end a magical day together.

Pointers for Writing Your Own Story

  • Introduce characters clearly: name, age, clothing, personality (e.g., “Liam, age 7, in a red hoodie who loves animals”).

  • Describe scenes naturally: aquarium tunnel, dolphin show, penguin exhibit, gift shop.

  • Balance details: mention clothing or props once — let the AI carry it forward.

  • Capture quirks: Sophie waddling like a penguin, Liam shouting about the dolphin.

  • Show family interactions: smiling, holding hands, laughing together.

  • Add variety: mix action (watching dolphins), humor (penguin jokes), and warmth (ending together).

If you don't want to write a story that is that long, try something like this!

Mini Story Example

Family Day at the Zoo

Maya, age 6, with curly black hair in pigtails, wore a pink jacket and carried her favorite stuffed bunny. Her brother Ethan, age 9, with straight blond hair and glasses, wore a blue hoodie and sneakers. Mom wore a yellow scarf, while Dad had on a gray jacket and baseball cap.

The family laughed as they fed the giraffes long leaves. Maya stretched her arm high, giggling when the giraffe’s long tongue grabbed the food. Ethan snapped a picture with Dad’s phone.

Later, they watched the lions lounging in the sun. Mom held Maya’s hand while Ethan whispered, “They look like giant sleepy cats.”

Pointers for Mini Stories

  • Keep it simple: 2–3 short scenes is enough.

  • Introduce family once: names, ages, clothing, quirks.

  • Pick one or two fun actions: feeding giraffes, watching lions.

  • Use small details: stuffed bunny, sleepy cats joke.

  • Focus on warmth: show laughter, holding hands, shared moments.
