Sometimes, instead of showing an illustration, you may see a message that says “Blocked.” This happens when the system detects something in the story or photo that might violate safety filters.
Common Reasons for Blocks
Sensitive language: Words that could be flagged as inappropriate or unsafe.
Unclear prompts: Vague or confusing instructions that the AI interprets incorrectly.
Protected content: Rarely, the AI may misread an image detail (like clothing, gestures, or background objects) and block the result to be safe.
Photo content: If an uploaded photo contains something the system deems inappropriate (like too much exposed skin, suggestive shapes, or certain backgrounds), the AI may block it to prevent unsafe results.
What You Can Do
1. Check Your Story Text
The AI looks at the left-hand story page to decide what to draw. If the text is flagged, the illustration may be blocked.
Rewrite unclear or sensitive phrases.
Example: Instead of “He shot through the water like a rocket” try “He zipped through the water like a rocket.”
2. Use the Rewrite Tool
Click Rewrite to tweak your story.
Use Edit Copy to adjust a sentence, or Regenerate Copy to replace it with something new.
3. Try the Edit or Regenerate Tools
Edit: Give a clearer instruction. “Make the whale bigger, keep everything else the same.”
Regenerate: Start fresh. “Regenerate this page in watercolor style with a bright ocean scene.”
4. Swap Out a Photo
If the block was triggered by a photo, try uploading a different one that shows the character more clearly.
Make sure the photo is well-lit and free of anything that could be misread as inappropriate.
FAQ
Can I remove the block myself?
Yes. Usually, a small rewrite, edit, or different photo clears the issue and allows the page to generate normally.
Why was my family photo blocked?
Occasionally the AI misinterprets parts of a photo (like clothing, shadows, or background objects). Try re-uploading a clearer version.
Will my photos or stories be saved if blocked?
Yes. Your content is still safe in your library. Only the blocked image is withheld.
