What is the edit feature?

Use Edit to make precise changes to a single illustration without redrawing the entire page. It is the fastest way to fix small issues and keep the rest of the page intact.

Updated this week

When to Use Edit

  • Change one detail (color, accessory, background element)

  • Fix something small while keeping layout and characters intact

  • Reduce or soften an overused detail (like a stroller or toy)

Example prompts:

  • “Change Dad’s jacket to blue, keep everything else the same.”

  • “Make the penguin larger, keep the family unchanged.”

Reference Image

  • Keeps characters consistent across edits

  • Locks in face, hair, and overall likeness

  • Choose one page where the character looks “just right” and reuse it

Style Guide Image

  • Keeps colors, mood, and artistic style consistent

  • Prevents pages from drifting into different tones or textures

  • Choose one page with the look you like best and apply it as a guide

Tips for Better Results

  • Make one edit at a time for predictable changes

  • Always add “keep everything else the same” in your prompt

  • Combine a Reference + Style Guide for the most consistent outcome

Edit vs. Regenerate vs. Rewrite

  • Edit: Small fixes (color, accessory, brightness)

  • Regenerate: When the entire image feels off

  • Rewrite: When the left page story doesn’t match what you want
