2. Do I have to choose who the story is for?
No. Choosing who the story is for is optional.
3. What storybook copy styles can I choose from?
You can currently choose between Classic and Rhyming.
4. What illustration styles are available?
The available illustration styles are Whimsy Watercolor, Whiteboard Crayon, Sketch Magic, Superhero Comic, Cartoon Adventure, Color Paper Cutouts, Folk Tale Storybook, Studio Ghibli, and Soft Romantic.
5. How many photos can I upload?
You can upload 3 to 8 photos during the initial setup process.
6. What kinds of image files are accepted?
We currently accept JPG, PNG, and WEBP files.
7. Do my uploaded photos need to include everyone who will appear in the book?
Yes. Your uploaded photos should include all of the people you want featured in your story.
8. Can I upload more photos later?
Yes. During editing, you can upload additional photos to help the AI better match people, places, and details.
9. What details should I include when describing characters?
Please include each character’s name, age, gender, physical features, and any other details that help describe how they look.
10. What should I include in my story description?
Describe your storyline, plot, event or memory, key scenes, mood, and any specific details you want reflected in the story and illustrations.
11. What happens before I purchase?
Before purchase, the AI generates the first 2 pages of your book so you can preview and edit them.
12. Should I edit the first 2 pages before purchasing?
Yes. We strongly recommend editing the first 2 pages until you love them, because those pages help guide the generation of the rest of the book.
13. Does purchasing my book send it to print?
No. Purchasing your book only unlocks the full version of your book for editing. It does not send the book to print.
14. What does purchasing unlock?
Purchasing unlocks the remaining pages of your book, full-book editing, and cover editing.
15. What does finalizing do?
Finalizing is the step that sends your completed book for processing and printing. Once you finalize, your book moves into production.
16. Can I still edit my book after purchasing it?
Yes. After purchase, you can continue editing the book and cover until you are ready to finalize.
17. How long does it take for the rest of the book to generate after purchase?
The rest of the book can take a few minutes to generate.
18. What happens when I click Finalize?
You will be asked to confirm your address. Once finalized, your book is sent for processing and printing.
19. What if my address is wrong when I am ready to finalize?
If your address is incorrect, when you click "Finalize" at the end of your story you will have a chance to correct it.
20. What book formats do you offer?
We offer 8.5 x 8.5inch hardcover books in Classic and Extended formats, as well as a 6 x 6 inch board book.
21. What are the hardcover book sizes and page counts?
Hardcover Classic is 8 spreads / 16 pages at 8.5 x 8.5 inches. Hardcover Extended is 12 spreads / 24 pages at 8.5 x 8.5 inches. Note that for our Hardcover books, you can purchase additional spreads as needed.
22. What are the board book size and page count?
The board book is 6 x 6 inches with 8 spreads / 16 pages. Additional spreads cannot be purchased for Board Books.
23. Who prints the books?
Our books are printed and shipped through our fulfillment partners.
24. Can I reuse characters from a previous book?
Yes. If you have created a book before, you may be able to choose from characters you have used in the past.
25. What is the difference between purchase and finalize?
Purchase unlocks the full book for editing. Finalize sends the completed book for production and printing.
26. Why do I have to pay without seeing the rest of the book?
We generate the first 2 pages first so you can preview the story and illustration direction before unlocking the full book. The main reason you need to purchase before seeing the rest is that AI image generation gets expensive. Purchasing unlocks the remaining pages and cover so we can continue generating the rest of your book. We recommend editing the first 2 pages until you love them, since they help guide the rest of the book.
27. What if I do not like the book?
If you are not happy with your book, you can keep editing it as much as you want before you finalize. You can refine the story, adjust the illustrations, regenerate pages, edit the cover, and upload additional photos during editing to improve the results. If you are struggling or would like help, please ask Meadow to connect you with a person for assistance before finalizing.
28. Can I edit my book before I purchase it?
Yes. Before purchase, you can review and edit the first 2 generated pages.

We generate the first 2 pages first so you can preview the story and illustration direction before unlocking the full book.
30. Why should I spend time editing the first 2 pages?
The first 2 pages help guide the generation of the remaining pages, so getting them close to perfect early usually leads to better full-book results.
31. Can I change the illustrations after I purchase my book?
Yes. After purchase, you can continue editing the rest of the book and the cover before finalizing.
32. Can I change the story text after I purchase my book?
Yes. Purchasing unlocks the full book for editing, which includes continuing to refine the story and visuals before finalizing.
33. Can I edit the cover of my book?
Yes. Cover editing becomes available after you purchase and unlock the full book.
34. How do I fix a page that does not look right?
Use the Edit tools and regenerate options to make adjustments. You can also upload more reference photos during editing to improve results. You can also use the Re-Write tool to change the story copy.
35. Can I add more photos after the initial upload step?
Yes. You can upload additional photos later in the Edit feature to help the AI better match people, places, and details.
